At Gwinnett OBGYN Associates, we value every patient and strive to take care of our patients during their pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum to the best of our ability. Here, you will find a team of highly qualified board-certified physicians and nurse practitioners as well as a large number of staff whose goal is to make every patient feel as comfortable as possible with her care. Our team of providers includes 5 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners.
We like for our patients to call us as soon as they find out they are pregnant to schedule the first prenatal visit. The prenatal care visits normally start at around 7 weeks gestation (about 3 weeks after a missed period). To help with the flow of your first appointment, please download and complete the new patient OB forms and bring to your first appointment along with your insurance card and a photo ID. Please arrive 30 minutes before your first appointment.
At the initial visit, which is usually accompanied by a “confirmation of pregnancy” ultrasound, one of our nurse practitioners will review your history, discuss a host of information, including what to expect during your pregnancy, and give you written information to take home. Blood tests are done next. The visit usually ends with a meeting with our financial advisor to discuss any financial concerns or questions you might have. The next appointment with be scheduled with one of the doctors for an exam and review of all material and results. From then on, routine prenatal care visits start.
We are proud to care for women of all backgrounds, with normal low-risk pregnancies as well as those with high-risk pregnancies. If need be, close collaboration with a team of Maternal-Fetal Specialists, as well as all other specialists, will be incorporated into the plan of your prenatal care.
We believe that by having all of our physicians work together, we provide better prenatal care for all of our pregnant patients. During the course of your pregnancy, you will have the opportunity to meet each of the practice’s obstetricians and nurse practitioners. We are confident that you will love each and every one of them.
When labor occurs, the obstetrician assigned to the hospital on that date will attend to you during your labor and delivery. We do all of our deliveries at Eastside Medical Center, the hospital located next to our building in Snellville, Ga. If you feel like you are in labor, please call the office number, day or night, to notify the on call doctor prior to arriving to the hospital.

The obstetrician assigned to Eastside Medical Center on the day you deliver will attend your birth. Gwinnett OB/GYN has 5 physicians, and patients are introduced to all providers during the course of their prenatal care so the delivering provider is familiar to them.
Yes. Gwinnett OB/GYN schedules prenatal visits across all 5 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners so patients meet every provider before their delivery date. This ensures you are comfortable with whoever is on call when you go into labor.
Yes. Gwinnett OB/GYN accepts patients transferring prenatal care at any stage of pregnancy. Call to schedule your first appointment and bring all prior prenatal records, ultrasound reports and lab results. Your new provider will review your history and continue your care plan from the point of transfer.
Bring a completed new patient OB forms packet, your insurance card and a photo ID. If you have had prior prenatal care or relevant medical records, bring those as well. New patients should arrive 30 minutes before their appointment time to complete any remaining paperwork.
Maternity care at Gwinnett OB/GYN is typically billed as a global obstetric package, which covers prenatal visits, the delivery and the postpartum visit. If your due date falls in 2027, billing will follow the CMS guidelines and fee schedule in effect at that time. Contact our billing office or financial advisor for specifics about your plan and expected costs.
Gwinnett OB/GYN accepts most major insurance plans for maternity care. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary by plan. Contact our billing office or call your insurance provider before your first appointment to confirm that Gwinnett OB/GYN is in-network under your maternity benefit.
Call the Gwinnett OB/GYN main office number, which is staffed after hours by an on-call provider. Do not go directly to the hospital without calling first unless you are experiencing an emergency. The on-call provider will assess your symptoms and tell you whether to come in, go to Eastside Medical Center or wait and monitor at home.
If you are scheduled to deliver in 2027, changes to CMS billing guidelines will affect how your maternity care is billed.
